Diet weekend

Well this last weekend was the first weekend of the diet! It went smoothly but it was a non eventful weekend which made following the plan pretty easy. I learned I do not like Cod.. bluhh. I will stick with halibut, shrimp, chicken and a small amount of beef.

Today is now Tuesday and it was not such a great morning. My medicine made me nauseous once again, but I ate a piece of grissini and layed down for a while then mom came in and prayed for me I am now feeling much better.

The weight loss has slowed down. Monday and Today I only lost 1 lb each day. (booo).  Tomorrow we visit the nutisionist again and get measured and officially weighed. It will be interesting to see how many inches I have lost because I deffinatly feel different and my Mom and friend Staci say I look better.

It is the beginning of fall and although I am drinking lots of water and eating healthy my skin is getting dry simply because of the weather so I must check my lotions to make sure they are diet approved. Yes even lotions, makeup, and soap are regulated on this diet. Not supposed to used anything with oils in them.

That's all for now..

Diet Season

Well diet season is now in full swing for me.
I write this blog not as public info for the whole world but more as just a journal of my daily struggles and successes.

At a beginning weight of 215.2 lbs I have to do something. I need to have more energy, I need to feel good about myself, and I need to be able to enjoy life. With a little prodding and some financial help from my Mom I am now on a super strict (doctor regulated) diet.
This diet is actually proven to help people reset their metabolic rate. I have always had weight issues since I was a teen, combined with a poor thyroid function and PCOS. The odds are been stacked against me so I'm going to do what I can to fight the issues.

On this diet I will give myself a daily injection for the next 40 days and I will take vitamins, thyroid medication, and detox pills. Each week I visit a Dr. and nutritionist , get a detox foot bath, and a B12 shot.

Days #1 and #2 were super easy and actually nice I got to fat load. (i.e. eat anything and everything fattening that I could put my hands one.) By the end of day 2 I was actually misserable from everything I ate. and I had gained about 6 lbs with a weigh in on the morning of day #3 of 221 lbs!.

However, yesterday was Day #3 and the first day of my 500 calorie Very limited diet! It will go down in history as one of the worst days EVER. On this new diet I take 7 pills in the morning and 4 at noon. One of the pills makes me really really nauseous (and taste horrendous), I take 5 of these pills in one day! 3 in the morning and 2 at noon. I spent all day yesterday about to vomit. On top of that I had one of the worst headaches I have ever had. I knew I was going to have to figure out a new method for taking all this medication I can't be sick for the next 40+ days!

This morning. I was determined to figure out a way not to be sick! I started out as normal with taking my shot, and meeting up with mom for our daily 30 min exercise. I am not allowed to add any more intense exercise or any strength training to my workout until after the 40 days. (Yesterday I took my pills before our walk and I nearly lost them the whole time.) When we returned from our walk I did my weigh in (219.2lbs) since I had forgotten first thing in the morning. and took my pills. This time putting a drop of orange flavored stevia on each of the 3 pills that I believe to be making me sick. They still started to make me sick so I went ahead and ate 1/3 of my grissini bread stick that I was hoping to keep for an afternoon snack. along with a healthy serving of water it seems to have really helped my nausea. Now here's to hoping I can figure out something to counteract the noon pill!!

The Masons....

The masons have a truly amazing building in Guthrie that if you are ever in town you MUST go take the tour. It was built and fully decorated (i think) 3 days before the stock market crashed in 29.

Below you will find some pictures they won't do it justice but I hope you can get a feel for the beauty of this building.

I was a little shaky so I apologize for the quality of the images.

The ceiling treatments area all hand painted and some of the chandeliers are worth more then I'll make in my lifetime.in the ceiling above the flowers in the arch are actually 3 dimensional.

below is a picture of the detail of the ceiling and it's all hand painted some colors take up to 6 coats to get the right shade.

Built in book cases filled with rare and old books.
The stage with it's original backdrops for plays and skits.
This table was cut in one big cut of a tree. vertically not horizontally and would probably seat 12-14 people it was huge. the rug below it is hand woven and is so large they had to take a window out and part of the wall. to get it in the room it's magnificent.

I hope you enjoyed and I hope someday you get to see the beauty for yourself.
